The immigration medical exam (Form I-693) is required for adjustment of status and permanent residence. What is the visit like and how long does it take?
We see you walk-in. The full visit takes 1 to 2 hours: document review, physical exam, sample collection and vaccines. If you are missing multi-dose vaccines, a second visit may be needed to complete the series. If your USCIS interview is coming up soon, call us to coordinate and secure your slot with the civil surgeon.

Delivery and validity of the form
Once lab work and vaccines are complete, the physician signs the I-693 and hands it to you in a sealed envelope. Do not open it: USCIS rejects opened or damaged envelopes. The form's validity depends on the USCIS rules in force at the time; we explain them at your visit and recommend not delaying your filing.
