What is the visit like?

Delivery and validity of the form

Once lab work and vaccines are complete, the civil surgeon signs the I-693 and hands it to you in a sealed envelope. Do not open it: USCIS rejects opened or damaged envelopes. The form's validity depends on the USCIS rules in force at the time; we explain them at your visit and recommend not delaying your filing.
