Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, both can spoil the test. We give you a clean container: lay paper or a disposable tray over the toilet, pee separately first, then scoop a portion with the container's spoon, ideally from any part with mucus or blood. Close the lid tightly and write the date on it.

Fresh is best, since some parasites become harder to see as the sample sits. If you can't come straight over, keep it tightly closed inside a bag in the refrigerator, never the freezer, and ask us on WhatsApp how long it can wait for the specific test you were given.

When the lab spots parasites or a gut bacteria, you get a treatment plan from the medical team, plus advice on whether your household should be tested as well. Hidden blood has many causes, such as hemorrhoids or irritation; depending on your age and symptoms, the test may be repeated or a referral is arranged for a closer look at the bowel.
